Spring is my favorite season for so many reasons. Warm weather, bright sun, colorful flowers, and chirping birds. Everyone’s mood elevates after a good dose of vitamin D and fresh air. Everything and everyone gets a fresh start. This Spring, the Freed’s Fine Furnishings family is getting a truly incredible fresh start.
After a July 2017 fire at Freed’s Fine Furnishings on Sturgis Rd resulted in a total loss, we re-aligned our business. Furniture Mart, in downtown Rapid City, is a sister store of Freed’s Fine Furnishings. In the past, Freed’s Fine Furnishings was known for higher-end furniture and flooring while Furniture Mart has been known more for Western décor and value furniture and flooring. Last winter, Freed’s Fine Furnishings and Furniture Mart combined flooring at the new Freed’s Floors, leaving quite a bit of freed up space at the downtown store. Rather than re-building, Freed’s Fine Furnishings and Furniture Mart are permanently combining the best lines of furniture from each store. This combination comes with a complete remodel of the downtown store, a new name, and new merchandise. However, one thing will remain the same: our commitment to bring the best furniture and customer service to our amazing customers.
We are THRILLED to announce that Furniture Mart and Freed’s Fine Furnishings will soon become 5th & Main Furniture by Freed’s. Our new store will carry the top brands in furniture and window treatments from both Freed’s Fine Furnishings and Furniture Mart, in addition to a whole smorgasbord of new lines of furniture, lighting and area rugs.
